Hey hey!
It’s the weekend baby!!! This has been a long week and the other day I had a moan fest about how miserable my week has been. I am in a much better head space today. I don’t know what is going on with my throat but it is incredibly sore. It’s really all that is left to get better so imagine my annoyance. I refuse to let it win though so woohoo for good things! Tomorrow is Muddy princess, it’s weekend. We got a new puppy yesterday. I kinda love my nails today and I am kicking butt and taking names! Right, now tell me about your week. How has it been?
It’s time for another Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce . So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month. This month it was Joyce who treated us with her awesome choice. She chose this post by @Vernimage on Instagram. I really really liked this choice and my only real issue was choosing to stick to the same colours or go the route that immediately popped into my head. In the end I decided to go with my first instinct and I hope it works! Let me show you what I did…
I started with 2 coats of Color Club – Silver lake on my ring finger and 2 coats of ILNP – Closure on the rest of my nails. While that was drying c0mpletely I stamped the flower image on BP-L067 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then coloured in the flowers using ILNP – Closure and ILNP – Bermuda breeze for the leaves. Once my nails were dry I applied the flower to my ring finger, topcoated everything and voila!
I kinda loved this inspiration so much and I felt the simple flower with the holo was just enough. What do you think? Also, how gorgeous is this red holo from ILNP? I have been saving it for the 31 day challenge but now that I am not doing it this year I just knew it would be a perfect polish for this. Let me show you a swatch,
ILNP – Closure
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It’s a beautiful apple red holo with a stunning formula. It applied so well and the opacity is stunning. It is also really holo (considering this is taken in my lightbox, which doesn’t usually do holos any favours). It is beeeeautiful!
