Hey guys,
Goodness I am happy it is Friday. This was a shorter week but for some reason I am exhausted. It was a good week though so there is that. Did you have a good week? Do you have any fun weekend plans? I have been having some issues with my legs but I’ll know more once I get it checked out. Till then I will just keep pushing on. Even through a park run and gym session here or there.
It’s time for another Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce . So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month. This month it was my turn to choose. As usual, it wasn’t easy because man alive there is some amazing nail art out there. I decided to go with this post from JauntyJuli. There is also a video if you want to have a look at that. I absolutely love this and I struggled to decide if I was going to recreate it or use it as inspiration. Let me show you what I did…
I started with 2 coats of Color Club – Shabby drab on all my nails and left that to dry completely. This just so happens to be the same polish she uses in her masterpiece. Once it was completely dry I took a small piece of sponge and Tip Top – Gold digger and dapped a different area on each nail. I left that to dry a bit and then I stamped. This is where I really started doubting my choice. I chose to stamp using W404 and Mundo de Unas – White. This was a round image and I thought would work better than most of my other images. I stamped the ring finger more central and then then in a slightly different position on each nail. I topcoated and that was that.
What do you think? Firstly, I really really wish I had mandala plates. I’ve put them on the bottom of the list because I thought I had enough that was ‘close’ but this proved that no, I do not. I really want to get more mandala plates now. I chose this image because it was round and I thought it would be a decent substitute. If I could only change one thing it would be the image I stamped with. I like this but I am so insecure about anything I do on my nails lately. It left me questioning eeeeverything! I also have some swatches for you…
Color Club – Shabby drab
This is 3 coats without topcoat. This is like a dusty purple leaning grey creme with hints of blue. I have seen people refer to it as ‘dusty periwinkle’ and yeah I can see it. For me periwinkle is more blue but it definitely leans a bit blue. The formula is nice and thin so 3 coats were effortless. It was a little sheer at first but 3 thin coats was more than enough. Good formula and a beautiful colour!
I am certain the other ladies knocked it out of the park! Go check out Joyce and Juanita and prepare to be amazed. Have a fantastic weekend and I will see you on the other side.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
This looks great and the image works fine as far as I’m concerned. You have nothing to be insecure about… honest!

Thank you so much. I felt so insecure about it but you’re so kind. 🙂
Also, I feel better about it now xx
Juanita
So, I can’t help you with being tired, but I can say this looks awesome. Though I’m kinda sure it won’t make a difference to how you feel about it.
And the image fits. Nothing wrong here at all. <3
