Hey hey pretty people.
Did you have a good weekend? Mine was busy busy busy but also fun. The weather has been really strange so it’s either hot and sunny (and I melt) or cloudy and rainy. I prefer the cooler weather but the rain is just a bit too much. I won’t complain though as we really could use all the extra water. I’m not sure if anyone noticed I was missing last week. I was feeling really weird with strange pain and then I woke up in the middle of the night and I realised I needed help. The hubband took me to the hospital and we spent the rest of the night and morning in casualty. I was so drugged up I lost days! I’m sorry I broke the schedule but I am back and everything should be getting back to normal scheduling really soon 😀
It’s a bit crazy that we are already in week #41 of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio. This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.
The prompt this week is Inspired by a pattern. I usually lean towards patterns that are familiar for these prompts but this time I was inspired by a pattern on a stamping plate. This image is one that always catches my eye and for no other reason than I love the pattern. Seems like the perfect time to use it right? Let me show you what I did.
On my ring and middle finger I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Turned up turquoise and left that to dry completely. On my pinky and index I started with 2 coats of Sally Hansen – Pacific blue (the original). While that was all drying I stared making decals. I stamped using BP-L003 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then started filling in the pattern with Sally Hansen – Pacific Blue (the original) and China Glaze – That’s shore bright. When the decal and the polish was dry I applied the decal to my middle and ring fingers. I topcoated everything and that was that.
What do you think? Do you also love the pattern? I really really like how this turned out. I love the colours together and the pattern is such a win. Not to mention the gorgeousness that is the original Pacific blue. I have no idea why this polish was changed but this is just so beautiful. Luckily I have a backup bottle as well.
I know tomorrow is supposed to be Tuesday Stamping but because I feel like I lost a week I am going to move it out to next week. So there will be 2 in a row. Have a super week!
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
This image has always screamed ‘decal’ to me (and apparently to you as well 😉 )
