Hi hi,
It’s finally the weekend!! I’ve had a pretty decent week so it doesn’t really matter but we are doing parkrun AND I’m getting ready to sign up for the next muddy princess. That makes me quite excited!! Are you doing anything fun this weekend? Let me know so I can live vicariously through you please.
It’s time for another Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce . So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month. This month it was Juanita turn to choose. She chose this post and initially I was petrified but the more I thought about it the more excited I got. Let me show you what I did…
On my index and middle finger I started with 1 coat of OPI – Do you have this colour in Stock-holm and left that to dry completely. On my pinky I used 2 coats of OPI – Can’t let go and left that to dry completely. On my ring finger I stamped using BPL-031 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then used a thin nail art brush to make the black border around the web. I then added a coat of that blackened topcoat / sheer black I made and left that to dry completely as well. While that was drying I did the gradient on my index and middle finger using OPI – Do you have this colour in stock-holm and Sinful Colors – Black on black. I then stamped the spider using Mundo de Unas – Silver and BPL-031. I topcoated the gradient, used a matte topcoat on the spider and left the pinky nail without topcoat. That’s that.
What do you think? Firstly, I actually really like how it came out. I know I changed the colours but I don’t know if it is different enough from the original. I actually don’t even mind because I loved the original as is anyway. I think I like my ring finger the most too. Obviously the gradient gets a big yes from me. Don’t forget to check out Joyce and Juanita and prepare to be amazed. I am certain they knocked it out of the park! Have a fantastic weekend and I will see you on the other side.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Hehe, this is actually a color combination I had in mind as well but I couldn’t get myself to do a spider… so mine turned out totally different without any insects :p
Having said that, even your spider looks great! Awesome job 🙂
(and you’re going to do the mud thing again? Really… forgot the bruises and scratches and aches already, eh? 😉 )

I must be honest, I really thought someone else would do the purple/ black combo as well. It’s very ‘popular’ for halloween. I actually love what you did so so much that not having a spider seems like a perk here 😛
Hahahaha Yes, I think I might have forgotten and sold myself the ‘it was fun’ story. Yikes!
