Hey lovelies,
Thank goodness it is Friday!! Did you have a good week? Mine was crazy and busy en very wet (it’s been raining pretty non stop) but not altogether bad. I am excited about a relaxing weekend though. The sun is also shining today so I am washing everything that isn’t pinned down. Do you have any fun weekend plans?
Back in July, Dollish Polish and Supernatural Lacquer did a collaboration box with a 90’s Sci-Fi theme. When I saw the swatches I KNEW I had to have it. The ‘box’ consisted of 2 Dollish Polish polishes and 2 Supernatural Lacquer polishes. I ordered them in July but thanks to SAPO they only arrived early October ish. These are not available at the moment BUT the reason why I am still showing you is because I often see wishlist polishes on destash sales and I know Dollish Polish has a clearance bin store and she often brings back older polishes. If any of these appeal to you then make sure you keep an eye out. Ok, let’s get cracking.
Dollish Polish – True believer
Inspired by: X-Files
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is described as a cerulean blue multi-chrome with a aqua/violet shift and holo micro flakes & glitters. This polish is sooooooo beautiful. First of all, the formula and opacity is top notch. Now, let’s talk about the shift. The shift is really beautiful and it actually looks like part gradient. I have a few different angels and a closer look below. The holo glitter is also a stunning addition and you don’t really see it between the beautiful colours and shifts and then the light hits the holo and your breath will be gone. I love love love. Here’s more
Dollish Polish – What the frell
Inspired by: Farscape
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is described as a deep eggplant multi-chrome with emerald/indigo shift and color-shifting micro glitters. This is another beautiful polish formula and it is also super opaque. I wish I could capture more of the emerald shift because it is truly stunning. You can get a glimpse of this in the bottle. You guys, this is STUNNING! I don’t have anything like this in my collection (the same as everything in this collection to be honest). This one is something you have to experience for yourself. Here is a closer look (sorry for the glare)
Supernatural Lacquer – Delenn of Minbari
Inspired by: Babylon 5
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is described as a light grey crelly base with copper/red/orange chameleon flakies, purple and blue micro-flakes, silver sparkles and a purple to blue shift. This is the lightest polish in the box but still really opaque. It applied like a dream with a beautiful glitter spread. My favourite part of this polish is possibly the copper / red orange chameleon flakies. Ok I lie, I love absolutely everything but those chameleon flakies just pop right out of the polish in the right light. I also love the combination of purple and blue in the grey base. This is also quite unique in my collection but I already have ideas of how to use it in nail art. Here is a closer look
Supernatural Lacquer – NCC-74656
Inspired by: The USS Voyager in Star Trek
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is described as black jelly base with a green/violet/red shift, silver sparkles, copper/red/orange flakies and holo pigment. I must be honest, to be this is a black holo. A beautiful opaque black holo because at the end of the day, who needs more than that? Don’t worry though, all the other shifts and flakes and sparkles are also in there and is truly beautiful. My photo’s don’t do it any justice. You have to have to have to get this one. Here are a few closer looks so you can see the holo and shifts as well.
What do you think? Do you have a favourite? Did you get this box when it came out? I can’t possibly choose a favourite as they are all stupid beautiful. I love NCC-74656 because I have such a thing for black holo but What the Frell is just as gorgeous. Ugh I can’t choose. I love them ALL!! Let me know which one you would choose. Can you? This is also my first time using Supernatural Lacquer and a huge fan! Let me know what you think?
Thanks for reading,
Just Ajda
