Happy Wednesday! Have you had a good week so far? It has been raining pretty non stop for the last 24 hours and as much as I love the cooler weather, enough already please! I know Cape Town needs it a bit more than us so I don’t mind sharing!
I’ve been wanting to play around with my ILNP – Birefringence and I thought today would be a good day to show it off a bit. I also made my list of my stamping plates and which have never been used so I thought I would combined the two. Play with a beautiful polish and then stamp it with an unused plate. Let me show you the polish
ILNP – Birefringence
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is an ultra chrome with a beautiful shift from blue to purple to red to orange to gold and even a hint of green. It’s hard to capture all the shifts and the predominant shift is blue to purple which you can see in my photos but if you look at the edges of the bottle you can see the shift of the other shades. This polish applies beautifully and I was really impressed that in 2 coats I got full opacity and a beautiful shift. This polish is ah-mazing!!!! Here is another shot with just a slightly different angle and more of a colour shift.
I don’t know about you but for me this polish is nail art all on its own! Every single time you look at it it is different. So I wanted to stamp on it but not hide too much of it. Let me show you what I did
I started with the 2 coats of ILNP – Birefringence. On my index and middle finger I stamped using BP-X06 and Mundo de Unas – Black. On my pinky and ring finger I used Sinful Colors – Black on black and 3 different size dotting tools to make different sized dots. I topcoated everything and that was that.
What do you think? Do you also love Birefringence? Do you have any of the ultra chromes from ILNP? I have another one so I will absolutely HAVE to do something with it soon. I love a shifter. It’s like magic.
