Hey you guys!
Haaaaaaappy Monday! I hope you have a fantastic weekend and that you are ready for Christmas holidays! I don’t really feel the Christmas spirit but I rarely do at this time of the year. It doesn’t mean I don’t love this time of year anyway. I have to ask, do you have any holiday plans? We love just staying home and doing all those lazy things we don’t get to do through the year. We also avoid shops as much as possible because with all the holiday makers it is crazy! Anyway, I’d love to know what your plans are.
Guys, it is week #50 of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio We have 2 prompts left after this one and it is crazy that I have done the whole challenge. This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. There is also a whole new list of prompts for next year. I hope you’ll join us then.
The prompt for this day is pastel. Again, I struggled a bit. I mean, I love pastels so where to start? How to choose? I ended up just pulling a few pastels off the shelf and playing around. Let me show you what I came up with,
I started with 1 coat of China Glaze – My sweet baby. Once it was completely dry I did a sponged gradient using My sweet baby and China Glaze – Are you orchad-ing me?. The pink to purple gradient is extremely subtle and I wish it was more visible on my photos. I loved the gradient though. Once that was completely dry again I stamped on my middle and ring finger. I used Lina twirls & swirls plate and first Mundo de Unas – Pastel blue and then added the swirls with Mundo de Unas – Pastel yellow. I topcoated and that was that.
What do you think? I was unsure at first but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. Also, it’s all pastel so I thought it at least checked all the boxes. Did I mentioned that I am feeling very uninspired? I am having such a hard time getting my skin to look decent in my photos. My main priority is always to get the polish colour accurate but man alive, something is up. I don’t know if it is just that I have been in sun. Who knows, I am working on getting my mojo back. Let me know if you have any suggestions or maybe just ideas of what you would like to see.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
December 11th, let me think… two birthdays down, three more to come. House was a big mess, Christmas tree was waiting to be decorated and I had to work overtime 🙁
I love the pastels but it looks kind of flat on my monitor. I’m pretty sure it looked way better in real life though. And I’m with you on the uninspired, mojo-less path. Have you figured out a cure yet?

Dang your month was crazy!! 😐
No I don’t think it’s your monitor. It definitely looked much much better in real life. I haven’t found a cure but taking a break from everything and just looking around and find inspiration really helped!!
