Hey guys,
Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? What did you get up to? In a delicious twist of fate, the weather did a complete 180 and its cool and heavenly! I can’t explain how happy this makes me. I am hoping it will make me sleep better because I have not been sleeping enough *yawn*.
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.
The prompt for this week is Neon and of course, neon is such a fun prompt. I had a million ideas but I also wanted to try something different. Let me show you what I did,
I started with Sinful Colors – Snow me white on all my nails and left that to dry completely. I then used a fan brush and China Glaze – You drive me coconuts (pink) and tried to make the strokes at an angle from the side of the nail towards the centre. I had wanted to to also angle the strokes towards the tip of my nail. I then did the same thing on the other side of each nail using China Glaze – Too yacht to handle. I thought it needed a bit of a contrast so I added a tiny bit of Sinful Colors – Back on black with the fan brush on each side and then I added a few more strokes of each colour over that. I topcoated and that was that.
I am so unsure of this. I think it looked so much better in real life than it came across on the photos. I wanted a palm tree / leafy abstract feel and even though I like it, I am not sure if I love it. I do love the neon colours thought so at least that is something. What do you think? Does it work? What should I have changed?
Thanks for reading,
Cynthia
I think it looks beautiful! The colors go well together.

Thank you so much! I love the colours together too but I wasn’t sure it would translate well. So glad it turned out ok.

You shouldn’t have changed a thing, it looks great!
Oh well, maybe one thing… neon in winter is weird, you should have used icey colors and added mittens for the picture :p
*mutters something about a silly woman*

Wahahahaha….If only it was winter here!!! Actually, I often use neon in winter just to get a break from the darker colours. I’m preparing for the day my dream comes true and we have winter all year long 😛
Thanks so much!
