Hi hi.
Happy Monday! It’s still weekend here for us so I am basically still relaxing. These long weekends tend to feel super long towards the end but then when it is over you feel like you need a weekend to recover from the laziness. How has your weekend been? Did you do anything special for easter?
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.
I love autumn. It’s one of my favourite seasons. I always associate the orange, brown, red colours to autumn nails but I wonder if it is because of the thanksgiving colours. Obviously, here we are the opposite way around and our autumn falls closer to easter than thanksgiving. I admit it would be weird to associate pastel shades with autumn but either way, I stuck to the more traditional autumn shades. Let me show you what I did.
On my index and middle nail I started with 1 coat of China Glaze – Time me s’more and left that to dry completely. On my ring and pinky I used 3 coats of Dollish Polish – I volunteer as tribute. Once it was all dry I did a sponged gradient on my index and middle finger using China Glaze – Sunset seeker and China Glaze – Give me s’more. Once the gradient was dry, I stamped over it using BM-H11 and first, Mundo de Unas – Caramel and then Mundo de Unas – Gold. I topcoated everything and voila!
I used I volunteer as tribute with the gradient because the colours are so autumny and I just love the glitters in the black jelly base. It is such a gorgeous polish and my intention was for it to pick up the colours in the gradient and stamping. I’m not sure if this works or all comes together but I sure do like the colours and the reason. What do you think? Does it work? What is your favourite season?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
That black glitter polish is gorgeous, as is the gradient with the stamped leaves. I’m not sure about the combination though… not really sure why.
My favorite season changes… when it’s freezing I definitely pick summer but when the airco can’t keep up I’m aching for winter. I guess I like all seasons 😉

Yeah I totally get you. I wonder if different leaves would’ve been better.
You’re nutso! I admit, when it is the middle of winter and I am freezing I do think summer would be nice but it doesn’t last long. Usually by the time the sun comes up the next day I am over it. We are fortunate though that most of our winter are still sunny days. I can still walk in a t-shirt in the day. I definitely prefer the colder days where I can actually wear clothes.
