Hello lovelies,
Happy Friday!!! I am sooooo excited for this post. It means we are finally at the end of June. Seriously the longest month EVER!!! Did you have a good week? Do you have any weekend plans?
It’s time for another Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce . So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month. This month it was Juanita ‘s turn to choose and boy did she choose a goodie. She chose this look from @hannys_manis on instagram. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of Dollish Polish – The only thing you can choose is what you’re risking it for on my middle and index nails and 2 coats of China Glaze – Minimalist momma on my pinky and ring finger. While that was drying I went to work making the decals. I used BPL-029 and Mundo de Unas – Light gold to stamp the roses. I used the roses individually so that I could spread them out more. I coloured the roses in with Sinful Colors – Pink smart and Sinful Colors – Sugar ‘n spice and I coloured in the leaves using Pure Ice – Saddle me up and Pure Ice – Free spirit. While the decals were drying I stamped on my pinky and ring finger using BP-L006 and Mundo de Unas – White. I then applied a few roses to the cuticle area of my ring finger and the rest of the roses on my middle nail. I topcoated everything and that was it.
First of all, I did this 3 times in 3 different ways. I originally wanted to do a dark and gothy version of this but once it was done I realised that it looked way too similar to that time Juanita chose a Paulina’s Passions look for our Triad post. I really love the original and wanted to recreate it so I knew that would be my next step. Towards the end I had another idea of making it a specific colour version of this so I did that too. I think I will still show you that in another ‘Triad reboot’ post. I did also want to try this matte and I think I might prefer it that way. What do you think?
What do you think about my version? I was quite intimidated to recreate it at first even though I love it. It is just so perfect I didn’t really want to be compared to hers but who can deny those colours! I also didn’t really want to do negative space so I used a nude base under the stamping and I kept my index nail solid. Does it work? I really love this. The original is of course perfection but it completely inspired me and I hope I did it justice. Don’t forget to check out Joyce and Juanita, as I am sure they will once again nail it epically!
Thanks for reading,
Juanita
I love this!!

And me too! Your choice of colors is PERFECT! And that base… could you add that to the stash you’re collection for me? I want it… no, I need it in my life!

Hahahahaha I will definitely add this to your ‘stash that I am keeping for you’ here. I just have to update the will too 😉
Thank you so so SO much!
