Hey hi hello.
Look at that. It’s fake Tuesday but actually Wednesday which means it’s downhill to the weekend! Have you had a good week so far?
The 31 Day Challenge is usually done in September although you can do it any time of the year. If you want to find out more information you can find everything you need to know as well as the Inlinkz for the prompts here thanks to Cathy from More Nail Polish. Here are the prompts you can look forward to
The prompt this week is Inspired by a pattern and of course, we are spoilt for choice here. I actually wanted to do this pattern as inspired by Tracy but last minute I saw plaid and I knew I had to go that way. Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Santa’s side chick on all my nails and left that to dry completely. I then stamped using BPL-041 and Mundo de Unas – Black. That’s it!
I had the intention of top coating this and then doing a matte topcoat and see which one I prefer. The polish is matte and when I stamped over it I just loved the look of it. The stamping has a slight sheen to it which gives it a bit of texture compared to the matte base. I decided to leave it as is. This is of course not practical and I would never usually not topcoat but all things considered, I think it was fine. What do you think? Does it work? Do you like the plaid pattern inspiration?
Don’t forget to follow the #31DC2018 on social media if you want to follow along with the daily prompts OR take a peep at the InLinkz below.
Thanks for reading,
Tracy
These look awesome! I was going to do a similar mani when I was reviewing the Uberchic Pretty In Plaid plate.

Thank you so much. I was so surprised when I saw how many people had the same idea as me so it would definitely be a hit! 😉

YES!!! I actually have a steam punky skirt in this pattern and I regret not wearing it in winter :D. Thank you!
