Hey hi hello,
Did you have a good weekend? Can you believe that it is now October? I also am finishing the 31 Day Challenge today! Wohooo! Let’s get cracking!
The 31 Day Challenge is usually done in September although you can do it any time of the year. If you want to find out more information you can find everything you need to know as well as the Inlinkz for the prompts here thanks to Cathy from More Nail Polish. Here are the prompts you can look forward to
This is it, the last prompt for this year. This prompt is to honour nails you love and honestly, there are SO many. I decided to choose nails from a person I really admire and always turn to for inspiration. I am of course referring to Debbie from @ladyandthe_stamp. I chose one of her looks for Friday Triad before and I have not seen anything she has done and not loved it. I really love her creativity and how she puts colours and designs together. Of course, there were SO many nail art looks to choose from and that was hard. I actually spent a few days asking around and asking for people to vote until finally I just went with the most popular one across the board. I chose this one.
I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Black on black. While that was drying I started with the flowers. I stamped using Lina – Summer 02 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then coloured them in using some neons. I used China Glaze – Neon and on and on for the index, China Glaze – Bottoms up on my middle finger, China Glaze – Lemon fizz on my ring finger and China Glaze – Flip flop fantasy on my pinky. While they were drying I stamped the leaf pattern. I stamped using Lina – Summer 02 and Mundo de Unas – Bones making two leaves on each nail joining in the middle. I then placed the coloured in flower on each nail where the leaves joined. I topcoated and when it was dry I used a matte topcoat and voila!
Now if only my colours would pop and look as amazing as the original. Being neons, they were a bit harder to capture in true beauty but you get the idea right? I also didn’t have the same colour to stamp the leaves but I think it works ok. I really really really loved wearing this. What do you think? I have also decided to spend some time recreating all the other looks I considered for this post.
Don’t forget to follow the #31DC2018 on social media if you want to follow along with the daily prompts OR take a peep at the InLinkz below.
