Hello lovelies,
Are you having a good week so far? Mine has been glorious. Not only super productive but also nice and cool. I even had to put on something warmer last night because I was feeling a little chilly. How incredible is that?
I am back with more reviews from one of my favourite nail art stores today. I have a stamping plate from Born Pretty Store to show you. Their range just seems to get bigger every time I look. I have the gorgeous Arab Passion L001 stamping plate. Let me show you a photo from their website and then what I did with it.
This plate has beautiful, intricate images and they’re pretty big. You could use so many sides of each image and create a completely different look. You could even use partial images on shorter nails. Let me show you what I created,
I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Cool gray on my middle and ring fingers and 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Sweet nothing on my pinky and index. I then stamped using the top middle image and Mundo de Unas – Black. I coloured in different sections of the image using a thin nail art brush and Sinful Colors – Anchors away and Sinful Colors – Sweet nothing. Once it was all dry I transferred it to my nails and placed it on my middle and ring finger. I topcoated and that was that.
I really like the mix of patterns in this image and I think combined with the colours it just works so well. The image also stamped really well. My nails are very long so I got a big portion of the image on my nail but you could drop this so the blue curve is at the cuticles and get more of the top on your nail. Of course, I had to use another image so I did some more nail art. let me show you,
I started with 1 coat of Revlon – Sure thing on all my nails and left that to dry completely. I then did a radial gradient using Revlon – Cosmo lights in the middle and Revlon – Hot hand on the outer. Once the gradient was a bit dry I stamped using the bottom, second from right image and Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated everything and voila!
I really like this plate and the versatility of the images. I was originally worried that with short nails I wouldn’t be able to make much use of the big images but it is still very usable. You could use partial or full images and still get great results. What do you think? Which image is your favourite?
