Goodness how long has this week been? Usually when I get to Friday I feel like “already?” but not this week. This week I feel like “only now?” Either way, it was a productive week so it’s all good. How was your week?
Can you believe it’s already time for another Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce . So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month. This month it was finally Joyces turn again. She chose this beautiful and elegant design by @dreamsnails. This is such a beautiful design and I was inspired by both the colours and the concept. I did two versions. one with the colours and one more with the concept, and chose my favourite one. Let me show you,
I started with using 2 coats of ILNP – Float on on one half of each nail and China Glaze – Sample sizing me up on the other half. I didn’t really worry too much about the join being precise or straight as I knew I was going to cover it up. Once that was completely dry I went to work on the stamping. I started by using the solid stripe on Lina – Feeling shapely 09 and stamped 2 next to each other using Mundo de Unas – Black. I then stamped over the black stripe using Lina – Feeling shapely 09 and Mundo de Unas – Light gold. I topcoated and tah-dah!
I really really liked this a lot, especially how the stripe down the middle looks. I like it quite a bit more than the other version too. Let me show you that just because.
This is a vertical gradient using China Glaze – Fresher than my clique and China Glaze – Intelligence, integrity and courage. Once that was dry I stamped the zig zag pattern using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and first Mundo de Unas – Black and then Mundo de Unas – Light gold. I topcoated and that was that.
I don’t hate it but it’s definitely not as great as I envisioned. What do you think? Don’t forget to pop over to Juanita and Joyce to see what epic nail art they created.
