52 week nail art challenge – Week 20: French tip

Hello lovelies,

What a good weekend. I didn’t get a lot done but that was kind of the point. How was your weekend? I am so ready to get going with this week.

The prompt this week is French tip. Obviously I am never going to do a traditional French tip. I had an idea to do pastel rainbow stripes on my tips and after spending ages doing it, it just didn’t look nice in the photos. I think the pastels on the black make the colours all melt together and get washed out. Let me show you what I did after that,

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Shadies & gentlemen on all my nails. Once it was dry I stamped using Lina – I foil in love 01 and Konad – Black pearl. I didn’t topcoat as I wanted to keep the matte with the shiny.

I am not loving this and I am not even sure if it would fall under the ‘French tip’ umbrella but it was the best I was going to get. Ok, let me rephrase it, I liked it, I just wasn’t sure if it was enough. What do you think?
