Hey hi hello,
Isn’t it crazy how one week crawls and the next is just a blink of an eye. I swear it was just weekend and here we are at Wednesday already. How has your week been treating you?
It’s time for the next instalment of Polished Pretties Monthly Mani. The secret Santa girls group (affectionally known as Polished Pretties – mostly because of the facebook group of the same name) had a discussion one day about how the Friday Triad feature was born. So we came up with the idea of doing something similar. On the second Wednesday of every month one of us will choose something as inspiration. It can be any image and it can be interpreted in any way. The ladies involved are (linking to IG) Heather, Melliska, Thea, Angela, Juanita, BrigetRen and me. This month it was my turn to choose. I have a ‘colour by by numbers’ app and I went looking there for inspo. I chose this
Of course, when I chose it I had an idea in mind and my nails were long. Now that they’re short it just didn’t go according to plan. I tried it and then tried 3 other ideas and none of it really worked out well. Eventually I settled for something. Let me show you what I did,
I started with a base of 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Ciel on all my nails. While that was drying I started with the heart stamping. I stamped using Lina – All about love 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then started colouring them in. I used Sinful Colors – Feel the vibe (orange), Sinful Colors – Pull over (yellow), Sinful Colors – Innocent (green). Sinful Colors – Sail la vie (blue and Sinful Colors – Amethyst (purple) to fill in the hearts. I then applied these to my nails in the order of the gradient from the inspo pic. I topcoated and voila!
I wish my original idea worked but nevertheless, I have hearts and a gradient and I think that’s ok. What do you think? What would you have done with the inspo pic?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
This looks so cute!
I do wonder what your original idea was… any chance for a re-run when your talons have reached scary lengths again? 😉

What a clever idea! Can you believe my nails broke AGAIN so now they’re even shorter! *sob*. Thank you!
