Hey guys,
I hope you’re having a great week so far! After complaining about November is dragging, this week seems to be flying by. No complaints here!
I am back with another review from one of my favourite nail art stores today. I have a stamping plate from Born Pretty Store to show you. My collection of their stamping plates keeps growing and I am never disappointed. Today I am showing you another one. It is Nicole Diary L13 and here is a photo from their site.
This is a Christmas themed plate and as you can see, is also quite a large plate with MANY images. Just like last time, I wanted to create 3 nail art looks to show the versatility and that it is usable all year long. Let’s go with the first one.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – I just canterlot on all my nails and let that dry completely. I then stamped using the stripes in the middle left and Mundo de Unas – Black to stamp one strip of lines across my middle and ring finger. I topcoated everything and that was that. Onto the next,
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Minimalist momma on my ring and middle finger and 2 coats of China Glaze – You’re a mean one on my pinky and index. Once it was completely dry I stamped the image in the middle top and Mundo de Unas – Gold. On my stamper, I filled in the outer sides with China Glaze – You’re a mean one. Once that was dry I applied this to my middle and ring finger. On my pinky and index I stamped the strip of the image right next to the one I used for my middle and ring. I topcoated everything and then went in with a matte topcoat. Luckily I couldn’t decided if I preferred it glossy or matte so here is a glossy version. What do you think?
OK, onto the next one! This one is much more Christmassy.
I started with 2 coats of Dollish Polish – Squirrel on all my nails. While that was drying I started to work on the stamping. I stamped using Mundo de Unas – Black and then filled in the lights using China Glaze – Flame-boyant, China Glaze – Treble maker. China Glaze – DJ blue my mind and China Glaze – Daisy know my name? Once they were dry I applied them across my middle and ring finger. On my pinky and index I added one thin coat of China Glaze – Resting Grinch face. I topcoated and voila!
What do you think? Which one is your favourite? I just love this plate. It is really versatile and also has different Christmas type images than most of my other plates. This plate stamps really well and the images are also very deeply etched. So deeply etched in fact, that it was quite tricky to clean. I will definitely be adding more of these plates to my stash.
