52 week nail art challenge – Week 1: Birds

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I know a lot of people are getting back to work today after the holidays. I still have a few more days left of ‘holiday’ but I am also trying to catch up on everything.

Here we go. Time for another year of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio.  As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.

The very first prompt for year is birds. Endless possibilities and my mind was reeling with options. I found every single stamping plate I had with birds and I had an idea for every single one. Then something just came to me. Let me show you what I did,

I started with 2 coats of OPI – Lima tell you about this color on my ring finger, 2 coats of OPI – Never have too mani friends on my middle finger and 2 coats of OPI – Somewhere over the rainbow mountains on my pinky and index. I then stamped on my pinky using BM-508 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I stamped the bigger birds on my ring finger using Lina – Born to sail 02 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated everything and once that was dry, I used a matte topcoat on my pinky and ring finger.

I actually quite liked how this ended up even though I have no idea how it happened. While looking at all those plates I knew I didn’t want to do anything elaborate so I chose to go simple. What do you think?
