Hey hi guys,
How is it even Wednesday already? Another week is just flying by. I hope you’re having a great week so far though.
While going through my stamping plate book I spotted an image I hadn’t used before. It immediately caught my eye and I knew I wanted to use it. Also on my desk was China Glaze – Strawberry fields and after I swatched it I knew I wanted to pair these two. First let me show you the swatch
China Glaze – Strawberry fields
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a bright pink with red undertones packed with gold shimmer. The shimmer is gorgeous and quite noticeable. The formula is also really nice. You might want to add a third coat but the formula is nice enough to make this a breeze. 2 coats was enough for me though. Right, let me show you what I did with this.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Strawberry fields on my pinky and ring finger and 2 coats of China Glaze – Prairie tale ending on my middle and index. While that was drying I started with the stamping. I stamped using Lina – Make your mark 04 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then used a thin brush and China Glaze – Strawberry fields to fill in the ‘petals’. Once that was dry I applied it to my index and middle finger. I topcoated everything and voila!
I am so glad I used this image. I really really like it and I think it worked out so well with the pink filled in. I think this is a versatile image too so I think I will be using it with a radial gradient as well. Not to mention Strawberry Fields is gorgeous. It does lean a little red but it’s still really beautiful. While I was using it I was thinking of China Glaze – Ahoy so I think I will do a comparison of these as well.
