Hi lovelies,
Happy Friday! I hope you have a lovely weekend planned. I can’t begin to explain how extremely happy I am that I woke up to cooler weather and some rain. Anything to get some relief from the incredible heat we have been having. Phew!
The Tip Top summer neons have been out for quite a while already but I have been struggling my booty off to get my hands on all of them. I am so very grateful that Tip Top sent me the whole set. They are so gorgeous and I know you’re gonna want to get your hands on at least some of them.
Tip Top – As the beat grows on
This is a bright neon green and I am convinced it is a jelly*. This is 3 coats with no topcoat and if you look carefully you can still see some VNL. With 3 coats it isn’t obvious and I am very happy to wear it as is. Beautiful formula that applies like a dream and dries pretty fast too. It also dries with a pretty nice shine.
Tip Top – Cyan can-can
This one might not be classed as a typical neon but it is a bright blue that is absolutely gorgeous. This is 2 easy coats with no topcoat. Beautiful shiny finish. I absolutely adore this blue but be warned, it does stain the skin. Not the nails so much but the skin. Don’t worry too much though as a good wash and a bit of a scrub gets it off in no time.
Tip Top – Get the party started
Ok so I mentioned the other day that my camera hates pinks and this is another example. This pink is MUCH brighter than it looks here. This is 3 coats with no topcoat and again I am convinced it is a jelly*. This was also a dream to apply. Tip Top does have another neon pink in their collection called Sexy bikini and that is a creme.
Tip Top – Grape pop
One of my favourites. This is 3 coats with no topcoat and once again I am sure is a jelly*. Isn’t that gorgeous? Stunning formula and shiny finish. I love grape pop.
Tip Top – Salsa pop
This is a bright orange but not the brightest orange. It’s not quite neon but certainly still gorgeous. This is 2 coats with no topcoat. Tip Top has another bright orange called Solar Flare. I am not sure how it compares to this one. Great formula.
Tip Top – Walking on sunshine
This is 3 coats with no topcoat and another suspected jelly*. This is a proper bright neon yellow. Great formula, nice and shiny. For the longest time I just wanted a neon yellow and this one fits the bill perfectly. I do now have a few but this was a dream to work with.
All of these are on their own over just a base coat. You can layer them over white to use less coats and make them pop. Wearing them all on their own they were still very bright.
* I am almost completely certain that these are jellies. As the beat grows, Get the party started, Grape pop and walking on sunshine have all the characteristics that I would associate with a jelly polish. I am willing to accept that I might be wrong though. I will be trying some jelly sandwiches with them to see how that goes.
You can find Tip Top on Facebook here. I love their page with all the tips, trick, advice and new collections coming out.
What do you think of these? Do you have any of them? Do you have a favourite? I love these and I wish I had them at the beginning of summer to take full advantage but I am sure they will be worn all year round 😉 If you’d like to see any of these compared to another polish please let me know.
Thanks for reading,

These are interesting! I have Sexy Bikini, do I also need Get The Party Started? Only one way to find out, comparison please! While you’re at it, why not compare Solar Flare and Salsa Pop? 😛
I have neon green, purple and pink. These are certainly different to what I have already, but I’m just not sure I *need* more neons. I’m more of a glittery pastel girl 🙂

Thanks. Grape Pop might just be my favourite of them all.

I like the green, purple, and orange on you. The yellow is quite bright!
I am sorry that your camera hates pink. 🙁 The last time I tried photographing neon pink was a fail, so, I get it, haha.
Now I kind of want to bust out my neons, heh heh! 🙂

You feel my pain Lesley! Why pink? *sob*
Thank you. That yellow is bright bright. I love the purple! Pull out the neons! So much fun.

So you were sent these for review, right? I just had the weirdest thing. I saw they were looking for bloggers to review on twitter so I contacted them. In my email I mentioned I am a loyal supporter of their brand and I already have some of their polishes… and I’m working on a swatch post of some new ones… they replied with ‘Hi Kerry Please could you do a review on the products that you already have. Many thanks’
Now I don’t expect ‘free’ stuff but I found that pretty strange.
