Hi lovelies,
Happy Monday. Did you have a good weekend? What did you get up to? I was bragging about the lovely weather we have been having lately and as luck would have it, we have had cool and rainy weather the whole weekend 😛 That will teach me right? It was a good excuse to get a last snuggle in before the humidity hits us in full force.
I have been lacking a bit of inspiration lately so I have been hitting my ever growing pinterest boards to get some creative juices flowing. I saw this geometric design from The Nailasaurus and knew I had to use the pattern. So let me show you what I came up with.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Stella on all my nails. Once that was completely dry I used striping tape to mark out the design on my middle and index fingers. I then added Zoya – Godiva one nail at a time and removed the striping tape immediately. I top coated the nails without texture and called it a day.
I really liked this but I think I am going to try this again without texture. What do you think?
I am slowly but surely working my way through my polishes and swatching them as I use them. I will be adding all the swatches to my ‘Swatches‘ pages where they are sorted alphabetically by brand. On that note, let me show you the polishes used today.
China Glaze – Stella
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This polish really looks like it glows. It is a plum / magenta packed with shimmer and is absolutely stunning. You can see on the right hand sides of my nails how the shimmer just lights up when it catches the light. I am obsessed.
Zoya – Godiva
You’ve seen Godiva often here and it is still one of my favourite polishes. This is 2 coats with no topcoat. A nude / gold glitter texture that is so gorgeous. I love it!
What do you think about these? Would you combine them? Do you have any suggestions for my inspiration block?
Thanks for reading,

I think this is a gorgeous combo! Colour-wise, but the textures, too 🙂
For inspiration I usually go to Pinterest or browse around on Instagram!
