Rimmel Sweetie Crush collection – Candyfloss cutie

Hi lovelies,

Happy Friday!  Also happy halloween if you do celebrate it.  What luck that it falls on a Friday right?  I am excited that it is a bit cooler again,  my brother is staying over tonight and my favourite little girl is visiting.  I see a good weekend happening.  What are your plans?

I was super spoilt lately and the lovely Nicola gave me a bunch of polishes for my birthday. All pink of course 😉 One of them was this Rimmel from the sweetie crush collection.  I have had my eye on them and was so excited to receive Candyfloss cutie.  Let me show you.

Rimmel – Candyfloss cutie

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.  It is a light pink texture that really looks like candy floss. It has a really nice formula and good opacity as well.  It’s a fine texture, almost like sugared jelly tots.  It’s isn’t packed with glitter but it does have like a sugar shine to it.  It’s really gorgeous.

Of course, I had to do some art with it.  I decided to a gradient with some tape as well.  So a taped textured gradient.

I started off with a white base – Revlon Sure thing – and left that to dry.  I then taped off my index and pinky in a criss cross pattern and just two horizontal lines on my middle and ring.  I then used a sponge to sponge on the Rimmel – Candyfloss cutie.  I did one nail at a time and immediately pulled of the tape.  Unfortunately, because I didn’t topcoat and washed my hair before taking photo’s, the white has a slight pink tone to it.  It does however show you that a light pink would’ve worked as well 😛

What do you think?  I was just trying something different but I actually really loved it.  This texture is just beautiful as well.  I must say I am really enjoying the Rimmel textures.  Thank you so much Nicola!
