Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? I had a really good one. I spent time with good people and really enjoyed the cooler weather. I also had some time to go through my stash and organise a bit as the last few weeks I have just been popping polishes back and it was looking a little untidy. Unfortunately I also realised my China Glaze – Too yacht to handle has gone missing. I have no idea where it could be but I want to cry big sobs. I’ve had this idea to use it for ages and now when I actually want to, it’s gone 🙁 I am going back to my original posting schedule this week. Let me know if you preferred the later posts?
As I mentioned before, I got thoroughly spoilt recently with polishes. Today I am showing you another treat, this time from Faeema. We have both been eyeing the Essence trend collection and I just haven’t been able to get a store yet to buy. Which of course means by the time I get there it will be gone. Thanks to a sneaky Faeema though, I have these 2 beauties to show you today. Hopefully I will pick up a few more soon.
Essence – Riot@<3
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a beautiful orchid, pink toned purple shade with a good formula and opacity. It really is a beautiful colour and I am quite impressed. I am not sure about the name though. I mean I get it, but having a polish name with symbols in doesn’t make it that easy for us 😛 Either way, definitely a favourite. This was my top pick so I am really happy to have it.
Essence – Not punk nor funky
This is a glitter topper in a clear base. I used one coat of topper over the above base. I am not sure if it was the best colour choice as a base. This is a multi coloured, multi sized and multi type glitter. It has micro rose gold / pinkish glitter, black squares, silver and pink / magenta hexes and holographic bar glitter. It also has some larger iridescent hexes. I am torn, I like the idea of this glitter but I am not sure I love this combination. I think it would look amazing over a lighter colour.
Warning!! This combination left me with some staining. I say the combination because I can definitely see the places where the glitter was but I suspect it was the combination of the colour and the glitter. It wasn’t super bad and came off easily enough with a scrub and a soak but double up on base coat just in case.
What do you think? Do you love the colour? Would you wear the glitter? What would you pair it with? Thank you again so much Faeema, in love!
