Hi lovelies,
Happy Wednesday! It’s downhill to the weekend now. I am once again shocked at how fast the weeks are going. Are you going on leave soon? Going away?
Last year I did these Santa suit inspired nail art and even though I quite liked them, they also seemed to be a hit with other people. So of course, I used them as inspiration for some santa hats this year.
I started off with a base of 2 coats of Color Club – Harp on it. If you’re going to go sparkly what is better than a gorgeous silver holo right? I know not much of it is visible but it’s there! Once that was completely dry I used China Glaze – Just be-claws and a small nail art brush to draw the santa hats and left that to dry completely. I then used a black striper to draw the outlines and some accents. One that was dry I used Sinful Colors – Snow me white and a dotting tool to make the white border at the bottom and the the dots at the end. I then topcoated everything. Once that was dry I added some regular topcoat onto the white and dipped it into some white flocking powder And that was that.
I was really uncertain about these at one point. I mean my freehand skills are not exactly great. Once I added the flocking powder though I think it pulled together well. What do you think?
Just be-claaws is a birthday gift I received from acidicice and it is really gorgeous. Let me show you
China Glaze – Just be-claws
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. Everyone describes this as a red foil with red sparkles. I am convinced there are some gold flecks in there as well. Great formula, great opacity. It is SO beautiful!
What do you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts AND see your christmas nail art. Please share them!
Thanks for reading,
Siobhan
