Happy 1st birthday, Wian!

Hi lovelies,

I am absolutely loving the weather today.  It’s so nice and cool.  It’s also already downhill to the weekend again.  Wasn’t it just weekend yesterday? I am very excited about today.  Let me tell you why.

It feels like yesterday when we found out my cousins baby was a boy.  The day he was born was such an exciting day and now, exactly one year later, I can’t imagine a life without him.  My cousin Jamcj was so amazing and shared so much of her pregnancy with me that when he was born it felt like he was half mine / ours.  I have only been able to see him for one visit but not a day goes by that I don’t think about him and look at his beautiful photos.

Seeing as today is his first birthday it was the perfect opportunity to do some birthday nails just for him.  I so wish I could be with him today but I know I will see him soon and then I can catch up on all the love and cuddles! let me show you

I had a lot of input from the Nail Anarchy girls so thanks ladies! Ok, I started with 2 coats of Nubar – baby blue on all my nails.  Once that was dry I started with my pinky and stamped using the bunting on BM-H19 and Sinful Colors – Why not (blue), Sinful Colors – Ruby ruby (red) and Sinful Colors – Pull over (yellow).  On my ring finger I used China Glaze – Adore and BM-H19 to stamp the happy birthday.  On my middle finger I made a decal first.  I used BM-H21 and then used Sinful Colors – Ruby ruby for the hearts and Sinful Colors – Pull over on the bees.  I then applied the decal and then used a small dotting tool and L A Girl – Sandstorm to go over the image of the teddy. I used white and black with my dotting tool to go over his eyes and nose as well.  The texture of Sandstorm was perfect to make the teddy look fluffy and cuddly.  On my index I again made a decal.  I used BM-H21 and then Sinful Colors – Ruby ruby to fill in the ‘A’ block, Sinful Colors – Why not? to fill in the ‘B’ block and Sinful Colors – Pull over to fill in the ‘C’ block.  I then applied the decal, topcoated everything (except my middle nail, it was topcoated when I applied the decal) and that was that.  I must say I really really loved how this came out.  It’s so cute and perfect for a cute baby boy!!

Nubar – Baby blue

This is 2 coats with no topcoat and one of the nicest pastel blues ever!  Formula is amazing, opacity is amazing and I adore the colour!  Love love love!

Of course, I can’t leave without showing you how adorable the birthday boy is.  Behold…..

Then, some of my favourite people on earth.  I love you guys SO much!  Happy birthday special special boy of my heart!
