Hi lovelies,
Half way through the week already. It’s flying as usual. Have you had a good week so far?
My fabulous friend Briget from Because I Can, has done it again. She has been teasing us with her ideas for a few weeks now and finally she has opened up shop. Because I Shop is open for business and I am ridiculously excited about it. She has started with nail vinyls but I know she has lots more goodies up her sleeve. She was kind enough to give me a few of her first designs and I can’t wait to show you just 2 of the nail art designs I have done already.
For this one, I used 3 different Because I Shop vinyls. I started with 3 coats of Essence – Girls night out on all my nails. On my middle and ring finger I added one coat of Morgan Taylor – Escar-Go to France. Once they were all 100% dry I started with the vinyls. On my pinky I used Ziggy Zaggy 3mm vinyls. Then I added Wow #393 and removed the vinyls immediately. On my ring finger I used the Ordinary Misfit – Cutie vinyl. Seriously, how AMAZING are the names? 😉 On my index I used the stencil part of the same vinyl. I then added Wow #393 and removed the vinyls immediately after applying the polish. On my middle finger I used the Ordinary Misfit – Full Monty vinyl. **PLEASE NOTE** I got these from the original batch, the sizing has changed and they are now smaller than the one I used here.** I then added Wow #393 and removed the vinyl immediately after applying the polish. I then topcoated and that was that.
Can I just say that I am blown away by the unicorn vinyls. I mean seriously, can it get any better? Ok, the next one.
On my ring finger I started with a gradient using Essence – Little miss sunrise, Essence – Flashy Pumpkin and Essence – Revolution. I waited for that to dry completely before getting started on the vinyl. I used the Flame On vinyl here. I then added Wow #393 and removed the vinyl immediately after applying the polish. I then added Wow #393 to all my other nails as well, topcoated and that as that. I must say I had originally done the flame vinyl on my ring and middle finger but I had messed up my middle finger completely and unfortunately I didn’t have more vinyls to redo it. The gradient and flame was so striking through I didn’t think it needed more.
So, what do you think? Are you as excited as I am to get my hands on a few more of these vinyls? Which one are you most excited about trying? The unicorns are just my absolutely favourite but I do have another idea with the bows coming up and those glasses are just the cutest thing I have EVER seen! I can’t wait to use those.
Please give Because I Shop some love and follow them on Instagram or Youtube as well for more info and future plans. Thank you so much B, for keeping me in the loop AND hooking me up with gorgeous vinyls. Not to mention those unicorn names 😉 <3
I also have a swatch of Essence – Girls night out
This is 3 coats with no topcoat. I almost want to say 2 coats would’ve been fine. This is a beautiful pink packed with so much shimmer it was a bit crazy to photograph. Really nice formula and one of my favourites from Essence in the pink department.

Those vinyls look great, especially the flame.
I still have to try my very first manicure with vinyls. For some reason I find them intimidating…
