Hi lovelies,
Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. It’s been a bit of a busy one but a goodie nonetheless.
When Jord contacted me and asked if I would like to review a watch for them I was super excited. I have been lusting after their watches for the longest time. If you are unfamiliar with their watches I suggest you pop over and have a look at them immediately. Jord has a wide variety of luxury, hand crafted wood watches in so many designs and finishes. You can find different wood finishes ranging from dark to light wood as well as different face designs. You can imagine why it was hard to choose one.
I ended up choosing the Maple Fieldcrest. It is a lighter wood and I thought it would go with everything. I also really liked the ‘classic’ face design. I could measure my wrist and choose the exact size I needed to make sure the watch fit perfectly. When my watch arrived I was blown away. It arrived in a beautiful wooden box with the Jord logo on. It looked and felt so luxurious and I hadn’t even seen the watch yet.
Inside the box was the beautiful watch. The watch is solid wood and so luxurious. Both the face and the back of the watch came with a plastic protective cover which you peel off. It also came with a little cloth to clean the face. I absolutely love the box and little pillow. It is the perfect storage place and a beautiful way to display as well. The watch is also surprisingly light yet sturdy. It feels luxurious and excellent quality.
Of course, I had to do some nail art inspired by this beautiful watch as well.
I really really liked how this came out. I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Beige of honor on all my nails. Once it was completely dry I stamped the woodgrain images using BM608 and BM715 and Mundo de Unas – Bones. I then stamped the clocks image in gold on all my nails using BM609 and OPI – Love.Angel.Music.Baby. The gold didn’t stand out too much and is barely visible but this was perfect. I just wanted a hint of gold in the background. I then stamped on my index and ring the same clocks image using BM609 and MoYou stamping polish in black. On my pinky I stamped the gears using BM415 and MoYou stamping polish in black. On my middle finger I stamped the abstract clock type image using BM610 and MoYou stamping polish in black. I then topcoated and that was that. Like I said, I really loved how this came out.
What do you think? Can you tell I was inspired by this beautiful watch? I also have a swatch for you
Sinful Colors – Beige of Honor
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I was surprised by how very opaque this was. Great formula too. It’s an unusual colour but I like it. Beige is definitely what I would use to describe it.
Thank you so much Jord for my beautiful, luxurious watch. The website is filled with tons of information about caring for your watch and each watch is described in complete detail as well as what it is made of. I am so in love with this watch.
