Hi lovelies,
Yay I could finally make a random post title with the names of the polishes again! I hope you’ve had a fantastic week! Mine has been busy but productive so a total win. So glad for weekend though!
Today I have some nail art that I am still not sure if it is a win, a fail or a half and half. I went backwards and forwards so much while doing this. I had an idea, changed it slightly and then I went half way with it before changing direction and going in a completely different direction. As we do of course 😉
First I want to show you this beautiful polish. The first time I saw it I knew I had to have it.
China Glaze – Fifth avenue
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. For me this was a bit of a chameleon. It’s a very classic dusty pink / nude shade. Once it dried on my nails it went a bit darker. I then looked at it again later in the evening and in the darker light it looked completely different again. I say ‘dusty pink’ because it does have a slightly pinkish tone to it but it has a nude / brown tone to it too. I think it is such a classic shade. It’s close to the ‘granny’ colour but it’s absolutely stunning. It does change on the nail though which I think gives it even more magical powers. This reminds me very much of the Kylie Jenner lip colour craze. It has a stunning formula too and the opacity is great. You might get away with 1 coat (but really shouldn’t 😉 ) Ok let me show you what I did with it.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Fifth avenue on all my nails except my ring finger and then I topcoated these. On my ring finger I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Easy going. Once that was all dry I stamped on Fifth avenue using MoYou London Explorer plate 3 and my Essence satin matte topcoat. I just LOVED how the matte looked on this colour. On Easy going I stamped using the same image but with China Glaze – Fifth avenue and then topcoated. Somewhere between the stamping and the top coating the image didn’t do so very well. It smudged a bit but when just looking at my nails (without the close up joys of photos) you can barely see it. So it looked pretty nice. In hindsight I was super tempted to just do the matte stamping but oh well.
What do you think? Isn’t that just a gorgeous colour? I love the matte stamping on it too. My original plan was to add black and gold stamping decals. Even though it looked good I think it took away from the colour and I really wanted to show it off. Anyway, have a fabulous weekend and I’ll see you on the other side!
Thanks for reading,

Hang on – you just used your matte top coat to stamp that? It looks awesome!
