Getting drippy with it.

I have seen the most gorgeous drippy nails all over the show.  I love love love drippy nails and I’ve been dying to try this on my own nails since I saw it.  Let this be  warning, this will not be the last time I have drippy nails.  😀

I decided to try it for the first time with really bright, really contrasting colours.

I used my base coat of Tip Top miraculous results.  Then 2 coats of Sinful Colors Fusion Neon. a Beautiful bright neon pink.  This doesn’t dry very shiny because it is neon but you can fix that with a nice layer of top coat anyway 🙂

I then used Sinful Colors – Fly Away.  Fly away is a really bright rich blue.  The perfect contrast to Fusion Neon.  I used my dotting tool (Essence Duo Stylist) to make a rough french tip.  I say rough because it isn’t meant to be even or straight.  With the same dotting tool I made the ‘drip’ part on my nail lower down.  I actually made a fat little dot and then dragged it up toward the tip.  On the photo you can basically see how it came out.  I also made a few extra drips lower on the nail just to fill some space. I took Sinful Colors – Snow me white and made little ‘accents’ on the drips.

 

Once again, not too bad for a first attempt.  I can’t wait to try these again in all kinds of colours.  Is this something you would try or wear?
