Green on Green stamping.

I have seen such beautiful examples of stamping lately.  I love stamping.  I started off always using black or silver to stamp, mostly because it showed up so well.  I recently saw some examples of stamping in colour almost the same as the base colour and it just looked gorgeous.  It is so subtle yet striking.

I tried to attempt something similar.  When I started I was just going to test it.  I wasn’t even sure if the polish I used would stamp at all.  The more I did the more I loved it.  I made a few mistakes and didn’t correct them because I was really just playing around.  In the end I regret not going back and fixing them because I loved these!  I am hoping no one else notices these mistakes 😉

I used Revlon – Super Nature as a base and on my ring finger I used Sinful Colors – San Francisco as accent.  I then used the Super Nature to stamp on the San Francisco and also the San Francisco to stamp on the Super Nature.  Make sense?  It really is quite subtle and I struggled to photograph these to look as good as they did in real life.  So this will have quite a few pictures.

I will definitely be trying this again.  I am already thinking of all the colours I could try.  What do you think of it?

I used the Essence Stampy Set which is only available from Dischem.  The Stampy Set is R39.95 and additional stamping plates are R19.95.  I will do a separate post on that soon.
