Batman Nails

Are you a fan of Batman? Superman? Spiderman?  Or any of the superheroes?  I wouldn’t say I am a super fan but when I saw these Batman water decals I knew I had to have them.  From the moment I saw them I had this idea in mind.

I started off with a basecoat and this brighter yellow from Essence called Wanna be your Sunshine.  This is what it looks like on it’s own:

 

This is a brighter yellow polish but not a neon.  It does have very subtle shimmer in it as well.  In the photos I can see some visible nail line but in real life it looked pretty opaque.  It was definitely opaque enough for what I wanted to do.

I used water nail decals that I got from LuckyStarStyle.  I used these specific ones for this design but have a look around because they have amazing decals!! I bet you want to have a look at my nails right?

 

 

This is what I decided to do.  I took off the yellow polish on my ring finger and then put on 2 coats of Essence – Black is Back over basecoat.  I then took my black LA Colors striper and added a black border to my pinky, index and thumb.   I didn’t do a perfect job with the border unfortunately.  Once all the polish was dry I cut one decal as close to the image as I could.  I then tried to get it as central on my nail as I could and while using a few drops of water I added the decal.  (For complete instructions on how to use these decals have a look here.  Its so easy!!) After that I added topcoat to all my nails and I was good to go. (At this point I preferred to ignore the mess I made of my pinky finger and I hope you do too :P)

 

What do you think of my Batman nails?  If you could do any character nails who would you choose?  After looking through all the nail decals available I have SO many ideas.  I have always loved Betty Boop and I think that would be super cute!  I would love to hear your thoughts.  Any questions?
