Hello lovelies,
Seeing as October is breast cancer awareness month I really wanted to create something special. For most of my life I have had a love / hate relationship with my breasts. No matter how much I have loved or hated them at any given time, they are mine. They are part of what makes me me. It is part of what makes me a woman. Any disease is devastating and breast cancer is no exception. It not only robs you of your health but for many women it also tears away at their dignity, their womanhood. That being said, it is something that affects men too. Please, make sure you look after yourself. Do self exams. Early detection can save your life.
I received nail mail from the fabulous, and very generous, Margaret (m_a_tom on instagram) all the way from Australia. I decided to use one for today but I forgot to take a photo before. I will have a separate post later showing you all of them.
I used 2 coats of Ulta3 – Pale Dahlia on all my nails. This polish is gorgeous! It is such a soft pale pink but it has this gorgeous shimmer. It is so subtle though but it really adds depth and makes this pink shine. Starting with my pinky, I made dots with my dotting tool and Sinful Colors – Daredevil and Tip Top – Armour Plate. I then made smaller dots on top in the alternating colour. On my ring finger I used Wet n Wild – Sparkled in one coat over the pink. I then took my small nail art brush and Sinful Colors – Daredevil to make the ribbon. On my middle finger I stamped using Tip Top – Armour Plate and Pueen01 to stamp the gorgeous little hearts. On my index finger I used a big dotting tool to make a few random dots in Sinful Colors – Daredevil and Tip Top – Armour Plate. I then used a slightly smaller dotting tool to make a few more smaller and random dots in the same colours. Even though my thumb didn’t make it into any of my photos (doh) I did my thumb the same as my ring finger.
What do you think of the gorgeous pink? Do you think this works? Do you do self examinations? I hope so.
(PS: I have been fiddling with my camera settings so apologies for these photos looking different. I think I have it back to where it was 😉 )
Thanks for reading!
