Hi lovelies,
After weeks that felt like it was flying this week is seriously dragging! It’s only Wednesday. It should be going much faster considering how I am flying through my to-do list. It’s pure torture with the holidays just around the corner I tell you.
The other day I told you about a few lip products that I am loving. The lovely people from Catrice sent me a few more products to try and I love them. I now understand why people have tons and tons of lip products in every colour and type. Since breaking out of my comfort zone and trying new colours I am having the most fun. I love the options out there.
Let me show you some of the products Catrice sent me. I’ve been using them for a few days now and I love them. The first two products are Catrice Ultimate Shine Gel Colour. I received two colours – Orangina and License to Pink
These are exactly what I would expect from a lip colour that has ‘gel’ in the description. They’re super smooth and glides on effortlessly. They are almost sheer in texture but the colour is very nice. What I like most is that it is quite buildable. One swipe gives you a a nice amount of colour but it’s soft and subtle. With every coat the colour becomes brighter but my lips didn’t feel as if there was a ton of product on them.
3 coats of OranginaOne coat of License to Pink
These lip colours feel really moisturising on my lips and the colour lasts quite a good amount of time. It also fades gradually which I love. These are also nice and glossy. It looks almost like a lip gloss without the sticky feeling and also longer lasting. I love that I can decide how bright or how subtle I want the colour to be. I really enjoy these and I love the look of the silver holder. It’s beautiful.
Then Catrice also sent me 2 Pure Shine Colour Lip Balms in Go Flamingo Go! and My Cherry Berry.
When I opened Go Flamingo Go I was a little worried because it looked so orange. I shouldn’t have been though because it is absolutely gorgeous once on. These are also nice and subtle but the more coats you apply the more colour pay off you get. These are colour lip balms so the colour is nice and sheer. If you want more colour pay off then I would suggest the Ultimate Shine Gel Colours. Not that I was disappointed in these at all. These are super moisturising and literally feel like the balm melts into your lips with a nice glossy finish.
Go Flamingo Go is a beautiful coral, peachy colour. It reminds me of beach holidays.
My Cherry Berry looks more brownish in the photo’s but it is actually a dusty rosy colour. I am so in love with this one. Both of these colour lip balms are very smooth and moisturising. The colour fades evenly and doesn’t last as long as a lipstick would but the smooth moisturising feeling stays for ages. These are perfect to pop into your bag for a day on the town or a day at the pool.
The last product I have is Catrice Ultimate Colour in Matt about Pink. As the name suggests, it’s a matte pink lipstick
Matt about Pink is a corally pink – leaning to bright. It is a lovely creamy matte as opposed to some of the chalky matte lip products I have tried before.
Matt about Pink is a little more pink than it looks in this photo. My camera seems to have picked up more of the coral tones than the pink. This beautiful creamy colour glides on beautifully and stays for ages! Even though it is nice and creamy I did have a bit of dryness after a few hours. It was nothing a little lip balm or reapplication of the lipstick couldn’t solve. Seriously though, the wear on this was amazing! I can’t wait to get more of these, especially in the gorgeous nude. If you want long lasting colour, matte and creamy lip products then this is a big win for you.
I really enjoy all these lip products and all the colours. I love the variety and options available to us. Most of all I love the quality and affordable products available to us from brands like Catrice. You can find Catrice products at your nearest Dischem. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twiiter as well. Thank you so much Catrice for showing me all the great options out there. I am sold and will adding to these with all the different colours as well.
What do you think of these products? Have you tried any of them before?
Thanks for reading
Kerry
Love that you’re showing these lipsticks and things lately! I seriously want to get into lipsticks a teeny bit but I don’t really know what colours to try. I am very pale so I don’t want to end up making myself look even more pale. I usually just go with dramatic eyes and that’s it. Maybe I should just buy some cheap ones and experiment! 🙂

Thanks so much Kerry. That is exactly what I did. I ended up buying a cheap brand to try the different colours and ended up loving them so much more than the expensive brand I was using before. Just goes to show. I am actually loving trying all the different colours and finishes. Especially the ones I never thought I would or could try. I say go for it!

It is but is not as bright on the lip. Very fun though.
Thea Madness!
Ooooh, this would be killer in nude shades! I tend to wear a very dark eyeshadow when I wera make-up so try to keep my lips a subtle color! But hate drying product so def going to be looking into their matte lipstick!

They have nudes in all of these and they are all gorgeous. I also wear nude lips if my eyes are dark or heavy. The nudes are gorgeous!!
