Autumn leaves

Happy Wednesday!  Are you having a good week?  I am even though I am still counting down to the weekend ;P

I mentioned in this post how I really like the colder months and the colours associated with it.  Of course, I also really love the colours of summer and spring too but weather wise, I prefer cooler.  I took it a bit more literal today with actual autumn leaves.  Since I saw this stamp I knew I wanted to use it this way and I was really excited about it too.  I think it came out alright, what do you think?

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Foie Gras on my pinky and thumb, 2 coats of Tip Top – Solar flare on my ring finger and 2 coats of China Glaze – Swing baby.  White that was drying I started making my stamp decal.  I stamped using Essence stampy polish in black using BM-H11.  I then filled in the leaves using a small brush and Tip Top – Solar flare and China Glaze – Foie gras in random order.  Once the decals were ready I cut them slightly smaller in the shape of my nails and then applied them using topcoat.  Cleaned up the sides, top coated all my nails and done.

What do you think?  I think the leaves are so ‘autumn’ and I love these colours together.  I also like how the leaves seem to be floating over the gold.
