Happy friday! This week has been harsh so yay for weekends! Do you have any plans?
I have had two separate ideas spinning in my head for a while now and I eventually decided to just combine them. I should’ve reconsidered because I know from previous attempts that when you have 2 ideas keep them as 2 ideas. Don’t combine because it doesn’t always work! So let me show you.
I started with 2 coats of OPI – Love.Angel.Music.Baby (L.A.M.B) on all my nails and left that to dry completely. Once it was dry, I used striping tape to tape of the ‘tip’ of my nails on my pinky, middle and index. I then added China Glaze – Re-fresh mint over that and immediately took the tape off while it was still wet. On my ring and thumb I used China Glaze – Re-fresh mint to make leopard print and China Glaze – Foie gras to do the border on the leopard print.
I like it but I am bot sure if I love it. I have a feeling I should’ve left the stripes and the leopard print separate. 😉 I do love the colours togethers though. I decided to use the brown for the leopard print because I thought black would be a little more harsh. To be honest, I suspect I am struggling lately because of my nails. I have a tear in one of my nails quite low so I have been patching it to try and save it for as long as I can. The patch is super annoying though. This is the first time I am doing it and not sure I can do it again. If it wasn’t so low down I would possibly have gone without. Oh woe is me 😛
Anyway, what do you think of this? I do like the colours. I also messed up the leopard print a little but it is always a forgiving look so I can totally live with that 🙂

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS! I like the two things together. I think the straight lines and random print compliment each other nicely.

I share your pain with the patch thing. I tried it a few weeks ago and it didn’t work that great and it was a huge pain. Now I had another break but luckily i had a whole bunch of posts scheduled so I’ve just been letting it grow out (impatiently!!). I decided to file my nails oval instead of squoval for a while to see if that helps, even though I like squovals the best

Urgh it was such a pain. I could actually see that it didn’t do anything good for my nail either. Stupid patch. I do think oval or rounded nails are much easier on the nail. I should perhaps think of giving it a try as well.
