Double post day even though it is a bit later than I had hoped.
I was extremely excited when We Heart Nail Art got in touch with me last week. Not only are they having the coolest stamping party ever in June but they also stock amazing products. The lovely folks from We Heart Nail Art kindly sent me a plate to review and I got to choose any plate they had. Before I show you the plate, let me tell you a bit more about We Heart Nail Art.
We Heart Nail Art is Durban (Ballito) based company who currently stock MoYou London stamping plates and stampers. They do ship anywhere in South Africa so don’t despair if you are itching to get your hands on some goodies. They are not officially ‘open’ yet so their online store is not live yet but if you want to order you can email email@example.com. You can also follow them on Facebook or Instagram to keep up to date with the plates they have and any news.
Also, if you are in Durban and you want to go to the awesome stamping party, have a look at their Facebook page for details. Limited seating so go go go!
I chose Explorer plate 3. It was a really difficult decision because in reality I want them all but I chose this one because it has beautiful images and can be used for decals or lead lighting.
It comes in a beautiful cover with the range of plate name on the top. It has a little tab on the end where the number of the plate is visible which makes it easy to see which plate it is
The plate also comes with a blue film to protect the plate and this needs to be peeled off before use.
The whole plate measures at 12cm x 6.5cm including the white plastic protective backing. The actual metal plate plate is only slightly smaller.
Such a gorgeous plate. I decided to use the image in the bottom row third from the right. Let me show you what I did
On my index I used 2 coats of Nubar – Dolcetto and on my pinky I used 2 coats of Nubar – Hot blue. On my middle I did a gradient using Nubar – Doletto and Nubar – Hot blue. On my ring finger I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white. Once it was all dry I went to work with the stamping. On my pinky, middle and index I stamped using China Glaze – Passion. On my middle finger I stamped the image lower towards the tip of my nail to really show off the edge of the image while on my index and pinky I tried to get the ‘flower’ image centred. On my ring finger I made a decal. I used the image and coloured in different pieces of the image using Nubar – Dolcetto, Nubar – Hot blue and China Glaze – Passion. I topcoated everything and that was that.
I really liked the colour combination but most of all I LOVE the image. The images stamped beautifully with hardly any effort at all. OBSESSED! Watch out We Heart Nail Art, I will be coming for ALL the plates 😀
What do you think? Do you the image works with my colour choices? Which plate would you choose? Of course, I have some swatches for you too.
Nubar – Dolcetto
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. Beautiful plummy, reddish dark creme with a beautiful shiny finish. Good formula and opacity. This is perfect for winter/autumn
Nubar – Hot blue
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. The name is a bit confusing for me. This is more of teal blue creme that dries to a rubbery finish. Great opacity and formula.
Thank you so much We Heart Nail Art for this gorgeous plate. See you at the party!
