Hi lovelies,
I hope the weekend has treated you well and that you are enjoying this Sunday.
You can follow everyone taking part by using the #31DC2015. I am going to be keeping my posts short and sweet throughout the challenge so that it means more time to get cracking with the prompts 😉 Here are the prompts for this year.
Animal print is a tricky one for me. It’s no secret that I am obsessed with leopard print. When it comes to this prompt though I always try and stay away from leopard print because it is something I do quite often. Last year I tried to find an animal that had interesting colours and marking. This year I decided to go a little unusual. So it may not be strictly on prompt for a lot of people but it is what I chose anyway 😀 Let me show you.
I decided to do mermaid tail nails. I started with a gradient of Morgan Taylor – Shock therapy, Essence – Splash and Morgan Taylor – Wrapped in riches. I loooooooooove how the colours look together and in real life it was even more delicious. Once that was dry I stamped on the scales using BM502 and MoYou stamping polish in white. The white polish was a little tinted by some of the base colours but I really love that it happened. It made it seem more like part of the colours. I topcoated and that was that. I do wish that I had trimmed my nails a bit before I did these. The image was barely long enough and you can see some of them just just didn’t make it to the edges :/ Nails are trimmed now though so hopefully it won’t happen again 😀

What do you think of my mermaid tail nails? Does it work? Does it even look like a mermaid tail? And how do you feel about my choice for this prompt? 😀
Thanks for reading,
Beautiful!
