Hi lovelies,
Happy friday! It’s only day 2 of our super long weekend and the weather is beautiful too. I hope you had a great week and plans for a great weekend!
You can follow everyone taking part by using the #31DC2015. I am going to be keeping my posts short and sweet throughout the challenge so that it means more time to get cracking with the prompts 😉 Here are the prompts for this year.
There is no shortage of anything fashion to use as inspiration but when I asked Jamcj to help me find something she struck gold. It’s no secret that I love zumba and am currently quite obsessed with it so she chose……..zumba fashion! This was the inspiration…
And this is what I did.
On my pinky I started with 2 coats of Tip Top – We have an agreen-mint and when it was completely dry I taped off half of my nail and then used China Glaze – Recycle. I immediately pulled the tape off and then used a thing brush to draw the lines down the rest of the nail also using China Glaze – Recycle. I did this with a brush and not tape because I wanted it to look more like the fringe from the shirts in than perfectly straight lines. I did the same on my index but using Sinful Colors – Snow me white and then Tip Top – We have an agreen-mint. You can’t see paint splatter and not want to do splatter on your nails so on my index I did a splatter using 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white. When that was completely dry I splattered using Tip Top – Sitting pretty. I then used the same pink and a thin brush to make the border around the splatter. On my middle nail I tried to go with the zumba logo. I did a sponged gradient using Tip Top – We have an agreen-mint and Tip Top – Sitting pretty. Once that was dry I went in with a black striper to write the word ‘zumba’. I didn’t write it too well. The first time was much better but it was upside down so I had to redo it :/ I topcoated and that was that.
You can see my #31DC2014 version of Day 25 here.
What do you think? I wish my camera didn’t make this particular pink look so meh. it’s such a beautiful bright pink.
