31DC2016 Day 18: Half moons

Happy Sunday.  I hope you’ve had a fabulous weekend so far.

The list of prompts as always.  I am getting a bit nervous about the inspired by section but also a little excited.

Half moons. Let me show you what I did

When I told B what I wanted to do and asked her for colour suggestions she came up with this.  When she said it my reaction was’ ooooohhkay, I bet this is going to be a fabulous mess and we will be choosing new colours soon enough’.  Little did I know she was actually a genius because I LOVED this colour combination.  My only complaint is that neon is so hard to capture so the orange is very muted. It’s actually a bright orange (like a bright pastel neon).  I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – None of your risky business and left that to dry completely.  I then used guides to tape off my half moons and then sponged on a gradient using China Glaze – Foie gras and China Glaze – None of your risky business.  I removed the guides immediately after I was done, added topcoat and viola.

I really really like this.  I loved the colours, I loved the style.  I was actually rather sad to remove this one.  I am going to do this again in all kinds of colour combinations.  What do you think?  Colour combo you would choose?
