Hello lovelies,
I hope you have had a fabulous week. Mine has been super busy and productive which makes the weekend very welcome. Not that I will be doing much relaxing as I still have quite a bit to do. Which reminds, it’s almost holiday time! I have decided to take a Christmas blogging break so I will I add those dates below (for anyone that cares 😉 )
I have some swatches for you today and this collection is a biggie. It’s also a goodie so prepare yourself. This is the Dollish Polish – Ultimate fandom collection and it has made me SO happy! You can buy the whole collection here in full size or here in mini size. Both options give you a free bottle of the bonus shade in this collection ‘I’m the ultimate fangirl”. Or you can pop over to the shop and only purchase the shades you want. Let me show you the stunning collection and the inspirations. This is a big collection so I am limiting the photos.
Dollish Polish – Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal
Fandom: Firefly (Inspired by both Serenity and Wash’s infamous dinosaurs)
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a beautiful chocolate brown duochrome with flashes of green. It has a beautiful easy formula and this applied really well and easily. This was probably the hardest polish to photograph and my biggest surprise. It is so much more beautiful than I expected it to be. It is super unique to my collection, I have nothing else like it. It’s also just different enough to be either stunning or you won’t like it. Don’t be fooled by the description though. It is really gorgeous. Let me give you a closer look and you will see the green flash almost look like scales on the brown.
Dollish Polish – I volunteer as tribute
Fandom: The hunger games (Inspired by the ‘girl on fire’)
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a black jelly with orange and gold flakes and red, orange, yellow, gold and copper micro and medium glitters. This is so packed with glitter you would expect it to be chunky and thick but it actually has a great formula and easy to apply. You don’t even have to spread the glitter or fill in bald spots. I also think this is so perfect for the fandom that you could probably guess what it is just by looking at the polish. I fell in love with this one the minute I saw it. Let’s take a closer look
Dollish Polish – I’m the ultimate fangirl
Bonus shade
This is 1 coat over black with topcoat. This is a topper in a clear base packed with every colour and shape of glitter you can think of 😉 I specifically love the stars. This topper is so packed with glitter that it applies quite easily. The only real fishing you will have to do is if you want a star on every nail. If you don’t fish for stars you will get some regardless. Once I took photos of this polish I noticed that I had tons of bubbles. I redid my swatch and still had bubbles. I am unsure if the problem is with my application or with my topcoat combination. Sponging this glitter on might solve that problem. I must add these bubbles were not even noticeable in real life. This topper reminds me a bit of a Unicorn farted in my polish. I might just do a comparison to see which one has more glitter and shapes in 😉 Let me give you closer look of two nails for variety
Dollish Polish – Live long and prosper
Fandom: Star trek (Inspired by Spock and his Starfleet uniform)
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a blue shimmery crelly packed with various shades of blue, gold and black hexagons, squares and stars. This also had a great formula and was nice and thin to make 3 coats a breeze. It also has a great spread of glitter and the combination is really cool. This is such a nice shade of blue so if you are a blue fan this is a favourite! Let me give you a closer look.
Dollish Polish – Look at the flowers Lizzie
Fandom: The Walking dead (Inspired by the field of wildflowers from one of the most dramatic scenes ever from The Walking Dead.)
This is 3 coats with topcoat. It’s a fun dusty yellow toned green crelly with varying sizes of matte glitter in white, black, pink, green and yellow. This is such a fun polish because of the fun colours but it also has a great formula. It applies heavenly and the glitter payoff is fantastic. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – Love me some pie
Fandom: Supernatural (Inspired by pie, specifically Dean’s love of pie)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a rich red jelly with a blue flash and varying shades of red and fuchsia glitter as well as iridescent micro glitter and shards. This is such a delicious shade that really looks like pie filling. Great formula as well. I think my favourite part is the blue flash and the micro glitter. Also, I am totally #TeamDean! Lets take a closer look.
Dollish Polish – One lifetime with you
Fandom: Lord of the rings (Inspired by the lovely dress worn by Arwen when she gives her evenstar to Aragorn)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a lilac shimmer polish with violet micro glitter and periwinkle and lavender glitter and micro holographic flakes. This is a beautiful, elegant shade and is subtle enough to wear to the office but exciting enough with added glitter and shimmer to be special. This is a stunning formula too. I love the colours here. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – The angels have the phone box
Fandom: Doctor who (Inspired by Doctor Who and his Tardis)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is the perfect royal blue scattered holo. This is also very opaque with a beautiful formula. If only my lightbox did the holo any favours. This is crazy gorgeous. Let me give you a closer look at the polish and then a look at the holo
Dollish Polish – The deathly hallows
Fandom: Harry Potter (Inspired by the deathly hallows symbol itself)
This is 1 thick coat over black with topcoat. Now this is inspired by the deathly hallows symbol. The silver holographic bars represents the elder wand. The silver triangles represent the invisibility cloak and the silver donut glitters represents the resurrection stone. All of these are in clear base packed with silver holo. This is a topper but it is a very dense topper. I almost feel like I used too much in my swatch. The holo in this is ridiculous though! The bars are super holo (take a look at them in the bottle in the photo above) and the holo micro glitter base is beautiful! I can’t wait to try this over different colours. Let me give you a closer look and show off the holo.
Dollish Polish – These are not the droids you are looking for.
Fandom: Star wars (Inspired by R2D2 and C3PO)
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is very dense silver and gold flakes and glitter in a clear base accentuated with blue hexes. This is in a clear base and I got full coverage. That tells you how super dense it is. In these close up photos I can see some of my nail but in real life this was super opaque. I expected this to be chunky and thick to apply but it was actually very easy. I suspect a third coat would’ve been easy breezy. I can’t explain how sparkly and blinding this polish was. I didn’t want to take this off. Let me give you a closer look and then an even closer look to show you how dense and beautiful the glitter and shards in this polish is.
Dollish Polish – You know nothing Jon Snow
Fandom: Game of thrones (Inspired by Jon Snow and the Nights Watch)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is a creamy white base black micro glitter, silver/white micro flakes and blue/green iridescent glitter. This polish has a dreamy creamy formula and applied beautifully. The glitter is so packed it also spreads evenly. What I love the most about this polish (besides the name and Jon Snow himself) is the little extra the iridescent glitters and micro flakes give it. In different light and different angles the blue / green flashes are just ridiculous. It really reminds me of the snow. This is just the most beautiful polish. If you remember the Epic Death collection by Dollish Polish, I also really love ‘The only thing you can choose is what you’re risking it for’. It was also an off white base (slightly more off white than this one) but it would seem I really am drawn to those shades. Like I said, the added iridescent glitter here is so unique and beautiful it will make you fall in love. Let me give you a closer look and then a closer look in different light and angle to see those glitters pop
Dollish Polish – Honey, you should see me in a crown
Fandom: Sherlock (Inspired by Moriarty and his infamous “crown break-in scene”)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a maroon glass fleck shimmer with gold glitter and gold flakes. I also really loved this one way more than I thought. Actually, speaking of love. Can we take a moment to talk about the inspiration for this polish. This is possibly one of my favourite scenes ever and the way Moriarty says it…..wait, go have a look
Isn’t that just the best Moriarty character and the best line ever!! Ok, back to the polish. This polish has a stunning formula is really so beautiful that I was surprised. I expected just another red shade with gold glitter and this is so much more. Let me give you a closer look and then you can watch that clip again 😛
Phew, ok that was quite a few polishes right? Since the moment this collection came out I knew I had to have it. The good news is that there is also a part two! I can’t wait to show it to you as well. What do you think of this collection? Which one is your favourite polish? Which is your favourite fandom? What fandom would you like to see a polish of?
So I mentioned earlier I will be taking a break over Christmas. My last post will be on the 16th of December and I will be back on the 2nd of January again. I might squeeze in another post during the break because I will probably be getting my Secret Santa box too! I know it is still a way off but I will probably mention it again before then. If there is anything you want to see before we go on holiday please let me know. Any comparison or polish swatches or even some nail art. In the mean time. Have a fabulous weekend!
Thanks for reading,
