Hello lovelies,
I. Am. Melting! It’s not even sunny but the humidity is killing me! Yes I am moaning but it’s about this time every year that I remember why I prefer winter over summer any day!
By the time you are reading this I will be in Ballito attending an OPI event for the launch of the Fiji collection. I am quite looking forward to it because those colours are stunning. **Edited** I got home to see my post never published so….by the time you read this I am back from the OPI event obsessed with the beautiful shades.
I have some square-ish nail art to show you today which started off with an idea and ended up in a different place but still a nice place. Let me show you.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Secret peri-wink-le on all my nails and while that was drying I started making the decals. I used my mani mat to stamp using BP-L016 and Mundo de Unas – Nabu. I then coloured in the squares in rows using Sorbet – Psst-achio. Once the decals are dry I apply them on my nails using topcoat. Apparently I wasn’t satisfied with that and had to add some butterflies. I used BP-74 and Mundo de Unas – Black to add both butterflies. I topcoated and that was that.
What do you think? I actually really like the colour combination and how the squares came out. Not sure if it needed the butterflies though. 😉
Thanks for reading,
Kathleen
I think the butterflies are perfect. It would have needed something without them and I think you chose well. Can’t wait to see your OPI manis.

Thank you so much Kathleen! x

I. Am. Freezing! Want to trade places? 😉
I love the colors you chose. They look great together.
The butterflies… not really my cup of tea but I’m boring that way 😉

I will trade places in a heart beat. But I can promise you will be over it in a few days. I am just not built for summer. Especially these super hot and humid ones we have.
Hahahaha Then maybe we are both boring. I always shy away from ‘busy’ stuff. It doesn’t always need 6 different techniques right? 😉

I love it! Such a cute idea!

Thanks so much Kerry xx
