Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was just the right amount of relaxing paired with just the right amount of work. It was a good one.
It’s week 13 – and quarter of the way – of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio and I was quite nervous about this prompt. This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Usually when I do prompts that I don’t have a specific idea for but the prompt does require something specific, I tend to go back to my ‘To Do” pinterest board and look amongst my older pins. This one has also been around for a while and every time I scroll through I am tempted to do it. This time I finally got to it. This nail art was done by MissCelina – or on Instagram – but the only place I could find the photo tutorial was on pinterest. Ok, so now that you have seen the inspiration, let me show you what I did.
On my ring and middle finger I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and left that to dry completely. On my pinky I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors – rise and shine and on my index I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Dream on (the original). I then used a fan brush and from one side I used Dream on and from the other side I used Rise and shine. When I was happy with the coverage I topcoated and that was that.
I must say this looked much better in real life than any photo. I kinda liked how this turned out. What do you think? I am torn about if I should’ve stayed with one colour per nail or maybe just changed the colours completely. But I like it. I am glad that I dusted the pin off and got around to doing it. I also really like the fan brush and I am not sure why I don’t use it more often.

I actually like the two colors on one nail and it pulls together the entire manicure imho. I have to admit I actually have a fan brush but I’ve never used it… have to remedy that soon, I guess 🙂
I must admit I almost never grab the fan brush and every time I do I wonder why I don’t use it more often. I actually did more nail art with the fan brush (should be posted in about 2 weeks) and I looooove it. Now I just want to use it more and more.
