Hey hi,
How was your weekend? I managed to get a lot done and throw in a sleep in. Now that is what I call a good weekend 😉 I am actually still quite tired so excuse me while I try and squeeze in a nap (unlikely) or a nice rest day (impossible).
Can you believe it is already week #45 of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio? This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.
This week the prompt is Candy and – once again – I had a million ideas. Luckily I could keep it a little more coherent. Let me show you
I started with a base of 2 coats of China Glaze – Pearl jammin’ and left that to dry. While it was drying I started making the decals. I stamped using BPL-023 and Mundo de Unas black. I then filled in the little lollipops using Essie – DJ play that song (purple), Essie – I’m addicted (blue), Hean #891 (lime green) and Heat #895 (pink). I used the same colours for the single big lollipop except I used them all together in a rainbow fashion. Once the decals were all dry enough I placed them on my nails, topcoated and ta-daaa!
What do you think? Does it work for the prompt? I actually really enjoyed doing these and really liked how they turned out. It is the first time I am using Pearl Jammin’ ads a base for nail art and I love it even more. I do have some swatches as well,
China Glaze – Pearl Jammin’
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I have seen this described as a light blue with shimmer and a grey with shimmer. I suppose both of them could work but the shimmer in this is a beautiful thing. It is an almost copper, gold shimmer that really makes it pop. It does look like a seashell and actually looks differently in different light. It’s a real beauty, more than I thought initially.
