Hey guys,
Thank goodness it is Friday. This has been a long and torturous week. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. We are still dealing with the damage from the flooding last week friday, It hasn’t stopped raining the whole week. The husband has hit a pothole and got some serious damage on his car (which means it is in for repairs). Ok I am going to stop whining now. I know it could be so much worse but right now it is just so hard to deal with everything hitting at once. Luckily there are lots of silver linings too and I am going to try and focus on that much more. The biggest one right now that I will be seeing my cousin on Sunday. Too excite!
On Wednesday I show you my Secret Santa spoils and today I am showing you a bit more. I did nail art with a few more items. So far I still have another 3 posts with some of my goodies and I am not even done yet! I told you I was super duper spoilt!! Ok, let me show you what I did
I started with 1 coat of Morgan Taylor – Tan my hide on all my nails and left that to dry completely. Once it was dry I did a sponged gradient using Morgan Taylor – Tan my hide and Morgan Taylor – Holy Cow-girl. Once all the gradients were dry again I stamped on the edge of each nail using Cici & Sisi – Mandala 02 plate and Mundo de Unas – Light gold (Not from my secret santa box). I topcoated and that was that.
What do you think? I actually really like the gradient and how the colours look together. I also love the images on the Mandala plates so very much. I really struggled to decide which images to use first. Do you think it works? Do you think the stamping colour works with the gradient. Aren’t these polishes gorgeous too? Tan my hide has been on my wishlist for some time because it is such a gorgeous shade but Holy Cow-girl really surprised me. Let me show you some swatches
Morgan Taylor – Tan my hide
This is 3 coats with no topcoat. This is an off white, cream creme with a super subtle shimmer. The shimmer was only really visible in the bottle for me but it doesn’t make it any less beautiful. The formula was good and really easy to work with. I used 3 coats because I was concerned about opacity and evenness but I think 2 coats might’ve been enough. It was nice and thin so 3 coats was no issue at all. This is a beautiful shade of a beautiful polish and it will go with almost anything!
Morgan Taylor – Holy Cow-girl
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a mossy green creme with a lighter green shimmer. The shimmer is very visible in some light but more subtle in others but it really adds something beautiful. Formula was great and it is almost a one coater. I really love this way more than I expected. It’s beautiful shade especially for the autumn / winter months.
Do you have a favourite? Do you have any of these?
Thanks for reading,
Juanita
