Hey guys,
How fast has this week gone by so far? How is your week going? It’s starting to cool down nicely and I am thrilled! Winter for the win!
I have some swatches for you. I’ve had this collection on my desk for a while but I have been so swamped it has taken me ages to get to it. I was very excited though because this is a nice one. It is the spring 2019 collection. I don’t really pay much attention to the seasonal aspect of the collections and the spring falls in our autumn and the summer in our winter etc. So for me, it’s just a collection. Anyway, let’s get to it
China Glaze – Better than nectar
This is 1 coat over China Glaze – Show ’em who’s blossom. This is a super fine pink/orange glitter. The base is very very slightly tinted but you would hardly notice it unless maybe on a white. This is definitely a topper. I am not sure if you would get it opaque on it’s own. The glitter applies evenly and spreads very well. The glitter is so fine and delicate I can image this being very versatile. I also have it for you over another shade
Here I have 2 coats over Lavenduh on my ring finger and 1 coat on the rest of my nails. You can see in two coats it gives a lot more glitter coverage. I prefer the more subtle 1 coat but I think both are pretty.
China Glaze – Good as marigold
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a bright orange creme and I am here for it. This is such a vibrant pretty colour. The formula was ok, a bit iffy on the first coat but evened out well on the second. I love this shade.
China Glaze – Hydangea dangea
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a light baby blue with a subtle shimmer. The shimmer is subtle but definitely there. This one applied nicely and was actually more opaque than I expected. I really thought this one was called HYDRANGEA dangea but my bottle says HYDANGEA so here we are.
China Glaze – I still beleaf
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a greeny gunmetal with a hint of gold. It applies really well and has a great opacity too. It’s gorgeous. It reminded me of China Glaze – Vest friends and maybe a lighter version of China Glaze – Life’s Grimm. I haven’t done any comparison so let me know if you would like me to.
China Glaze – Lavenduh!
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a lavender creme with a shimmer. The shimmer is only really visible in the bottle so don’t count on that. The formula is nice though. This shade is not super unique and I can think of a few China Glaze polishes that might be close. It’s still beautiful though. Let me know if you want to see any comparisons.
China Glaze – Saved by the bluebell
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a gorgeous dark blue that leans a smidge teal. This is almost a jelly as it is super shiny and a bit sheer on the first coat. But is opaque in two. This is definitely on my top favourites.
China Glaze – Senora flora
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a coral toned pink with a satin finish. I really love this colour, it has a nude feel to it and I think it is one everyone will like (unless you don’t like anything pink) because it will pair well with any colour and is gorgeous on its own.
China Glaze – Show ’em who’s blossom
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a beautiful light sage green creme and is another favourite. It applied quite well and was nice and opaque too. I really like this shade of green so I knew immediately this one would be a favourite.
China Glaze – There she rose again
This is 3 coats with no topcoat. This is a bubblegum pink jelly. It’s a real jelly in that it is very sheer and even in 3 coats you could almost still see nail line. It’s beautiful though. It is super shiny and squishy and I love it! Yes it is a pink so it’s inevitable but it’s a really nice polish.
China Glaze – This is ranunculus
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It is a grey blue with a gorgeous blue and silver shimmer. I love this one. The colour is gorgeous and the formula is great. It’s also quite a unique colour and combination to my collection. I’m a big fan!
China Glaze – What’s up bittercup
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a bronze metallic. When I first saw this collection released I was worried this would be too similar to Wicked Liquid but now that I have it I don’t think it is at all. This applied beautifully and evenly and I really like this shade. Let me know if you want to see the comparison.
China Glaze – Wildflower hour
This is 1 coats over Saved by the bluebell. This is a silver and holo glitter topper in a slightly tinted base. I used a dark base to show that it doesn’t affect the colour. This glitter applied well and evenly even though it’s not a dense glitter. I really like the glitter and that it is buildable.
What do you think? Do you have any favourites? Does it matter to you if Sping or summer collections have dark shades or winter and autumn collections have pastels? I quite like when a collection surprises with something unexpected and out of the ordinary. Also, let me know if you want to see any comparisons. Whether I mentioned it or not. I haven’t done one of those in a while. Also, if you’re in South Africa and interested in any of these feel free to check out my shop.
Thanks for reading,
Juanita
I’m kinda digging some of these shades…. But I’m drawn to the ones I have dupes of!
STOP being a temptress!!

Who would I be if I WASN’T a temptress? :P. I hope the comparisons have helped a bit. Shout if you want to see any others.
