I hope you’ve had a great week so far. It’s been really chilly the last few days so it feels like proper winter. Well, as much as Durban can have winter.
I mentioned a while back about doing some nail art that is more ‘wearable’ especially in corporate environments. I’ve been trying to do a few but I always end up with something nude. Even though I think nude is super versatile and wearable I definitely do not think it is the only option. So I am going to show you one that was born out of that but I liked anyway. Let me show you
I started with 2 coats of ILNP – fame on my pinky and 3 coats of China Glaze – Beaches & toes on the rest of my nails. Once it was completely dry I used some tape to tape off the angled tip of my middle and ring finger and used ILNP – Fame for the tip part. Once that was dry I stamped a straight line where the two polishes met using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas black. I then used Lina – All about love 01 and Mundo de Unas – Fiji to pop a heart in the middle of each line. I topcoated everything and voila!
What do you think? I definitely think this is wearable. You can do all the stamping in black or even add a pop of colour with the tips. I do also have a swatch for you
China Glaze – Beaches & toes
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a lighter taupe nude packed with micro silver holo glitter. It is a beautiful colour and the shimmer is just gorgeous. It was pretty opaque in 2 coats but I thought it needed that extra 1 to get rid of the visible nail line completely but you might find 2 enough. It’s really beautiful. You can see more of the holo shimmer in the bottle than my nails unfortunately (on the photo, not in real life) but it is a gorgeous polish anyway. That China Glaze is in “my box”, right? You must have guessed that one is right up my alley.
I’m not sure if Fame could be considered office friendly… it would definitely cause some reactions if I were to wear it, but I don’t think there would be any frowns (they’re used to some wild colors by now… and if not, they better hurry up to get used to it 😀 )

Yeah Fame is definitely a bit on the loud side but she plays well with every other polish 😀
That China Glaze is gorgeous. I actually want to do a comparison with ILNP I see you and maybe even Chleo to see how similar they are.
