Friday Triad – Inspired by @nailpolishsociety

Hi lovelies,

I hope you have had a fabulous week and have an even better weekend planned. It’s the last weekend of July so it’s probably going to be very busy everywhere while I just relax at home 🙂 What are your plans?

It’s time for another Friday Triad with  Juanita and Joyce .  So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post.  You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month.  This month it was my turn to choose and all I can say is….what the heck was I thinking. I chose this design by Emiline from @nailpolishsociety and even though I was excited at first, I got really nervous. Let me show you what I did,

I started with 2 coats of Essence – Royal blue on my index, 2 coats of China Glaze – Mustard the courage on my pinky and 2 coats of China Glaze – Five rules on the rest of my nails. Once it is all completely dry I get to work on the stamping. I stamped using Lina – Make your Mark 01 and a combination of Mundo de Unas – Joy, Mundo de Unas – Mustard and Mundo de Unas – Purple. I topcoated everything and voila!

I am not sure how I feel about this. I definitely wanted to change the colours up from the original and make it a bit more ‘wintery’. I was very drawn to the mustard and blue combination and I thought a pop of purple would be a nice addition. When I look at this on my nails I actually like it but the longer I look at the photos I start to doubt. Do you think it works? Again, what was I thinking when I chose this!! I absolutely adore the original and clearly this concept has been on my mind as I realised afterwards that my green splattered holo last week is similar in concept.
