Polished Pretties monthly mani – Juanita’s choice

Hello lovelies,

Are you having a good week so far? Mine has been very productive and I hope to get that to-do list knocked out by the end of it.

It’s time for the next instalment of Polished Pretties Monthly Mani. The secret Santa girls group (affectionally known as Polished Pretties – mostly because of the facebook group of the same name) had a discussion one day about how the Friday Triad feature was born. So we came up with the idea of doing something similar. On the second Wednesday of every month one of us will choose something as inspiration. It can be any image and it can be interpreted in any way. The ladies involved are (linking to IG) Heather, Melliska, Thea, Angela, Juanita, BrigetRen and me. This month it was Juanita’s turn to choose and she did gooooood. I was quite excited the minute she shared her inspo. She sent us a photo of her mug and its gorgeous. Look…

Isn’t that a fun inspo? I was most excited about the flamingos so let me show you what I did,

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Bottoms up on my index and 2 coats of China Glaze – Re-fresh mint on the rest of my nails. Once it was dry I started stamping the leaves. I used Lina – Summer 02 and first stamped the leaves in Mundo de Unas – White and then stamped the green using Mundo de Unas – Green and Mundo de Unas – Military green. I then started with the flamingos. I stamped using MoYou London – Tropical 15 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then filled them in using China Glaze – Bottoms up. Once it was all dry I applied them to my middle and ring fingers, topcoated and voila!

I was really happy with how this turned out. It’s not really possible to see the white leaves under the green unless you really look hard but at least it doesn’t take away from it. What do you think?
