Yay for double post Monday!
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image
The prompt this week is Houndstooth and I feel like I haven’t done it in forever! I wanted to do something simple and I knew I wanted to do something with red. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of OPI – Never have too mani friends on my pinky and ring finger and 2 coats of OPI – 5 Apples tall on my middle and index. Once it was completely dry I used a piece of tape to tape of a section on my middle nail and then painted that section black using OPI – Never have too mani friends. Once it was dry I stamped over the red sections using BP-L006 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated and then went in with a matte topcoat as well. That’s it!
I actually had a lot of fun with this one. It is simple but it was fun to bring out the houndstooth again. It is such a a classic pattern that I am inspired to throw it in once in a while. I also really enjoyed the black and red combination. What do you think?
Also, just a heads up. I am moving Tuesday Stamping for this week to next week. There are a lot of posts this week and I didn’t want to get too cluttered. Besides it taking a whole bunch of time.
