Hey guys,
It’s Friday!! I hope you had a spectacular week and ready to completely relax this weekend. I know I am (and then some)
It’s time for the next instalment of My polish, your plate. Joyce and I will be challenging each other every first and third Friday of the month. One of us will pick the stamping plate and the other will pick the polish. If we don’t have the exact same polish / plate it can be substituted for something similar. This choice will be made by the person who picked. From there it is free reign as long as the polish and the image on the plate is main focus.
This week I chose the polish- China Glaze – Glittering garland – and Joyce chose the plate. Joyce chose either BM-412 or BM-XL16. These are the same images, one is just the XL version of the other. I chose to use BM-412 as it is the one I had. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Glittering garland on all my nails. I then stamped on my middle and ring finger using BM-412 and Mundo de Unas – Taupe. I stamped each finger in a different direction. I topcoated and that was that
I actually struggled with this one a bit. Not because the polish or the image wasn’t gorgeous, I just didn’t know how to bring them together. I actually started off with a different polish as an accent but I couldn’t tie it together with the stamping. In the end I just settled using the plate and polish and combining it with a nude. What do you think? Of course, I couldn’t not swatch this polish too.
China Glaze – Glittering garland
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a gorgeous dark green packed with a gold and green shimmer. It applied really well and I was surprised how opaque it is.
What do you think of our choices this week? Pop over to Joyce to see what she created with this combo. I can’t wait to see what she did!
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
I was thinking how did you make GG stamp that good?!
Then I read it again… you stamped on top of it.
Why didn’t I think of that? 😀
